We’re switching things up this month and taking you on a behind the scenes tour of how we grow our own hemp and our own hemp seed genetics with organic farming practices (say that fast three times). So, come buckle up and come join us for a tour in the wild world of hemp farming!

Organic Farming Practices and Seed Genetics

We grow our own Hemp right here in Colorado and have bred our plants to be perfect for creating great CBD. While we are not certified organic, we use all organic farming practices including organic soil and fertilizer to produce the best possible quality product we can. 

 Did you know we’ve tailored our hemp seed genetics to produce a plant that has a high CBD content and a low THC content?  When our CBD content is about 12% in each plant, the THC is only .03%. These plants create superior CBD, resulting in a better product for you. 

Once our Hemp plants are ready to go, we harvest them using a whole-plant food grade alcohol extraction. The hemp flower and bud are dissolved, and  once the alcohol is evaporated, we’re left with CBD

Now What?

Once we have the CBD, we use it to create all our products from tinctures and gummies to our lotions and massage oils. For our THC-free line, we have to isolate the CBD crystals using a solvent. That CBD is then used for any of our 100% THC-free products.  From here, we make and package all of our products other than the gummies (but even these we still supply the ingredients for and package ourselves). We keep things close to home and control the quality ourselves. At this point, everything is ready to be sold, and we’ve handled the process from start to finish.
